In fluid dynamics, a Karman vortex street is a repeating pattern of swirling vortices caused by the unsteady separation of flow of a fluid around blunt bodies.
In 1950's,Karman vortex street was Badman which swung chimneys and submarines. However, in order to apply it to flow measurement, U.S.-Japan researched together in 1960's.Now it is used all over the world.
