New recruit "Mirai"'s worry of manufacturing Part4
What is the difference between normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC)?
Hi, I'm Mirai, assigned to design of equipment from this year!
One of my customer is having a trouble with too much drain in factory, and I'm recommending a filter to set.
What is the difference between Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC)?
Mr. Fuss-free, I know that auto drain of filter has Normally Open (NO) type and Normally Closed (NC) type.
However I'm having a hard time understanding how to use them depending on each use.
Umm. That is a familiar question.
Well, I prepared the videos below for you this time.
Click the image on the right and check each movement!
Ok, Two of them are same when pressurized.Drain is automatically discharged when getting a certain amount.
Yes, you noticed a good point. "Normal" here means when not pressurized!
I see! It easy to remember "open or closed when not pressurized".
Now you know the difference, so I will tell you how to use each type.
NC type is recommended for a small compressor with low discharge flow rate, because pressure may not be filled sometimes.
NO type is recommended for the places collecting drain evenwhen not pressurized as at night.
Drain will be frozen at the cold place!
I can suggest a filiter with auto drain to my customers with confidence!
Thank you very much for every thing!
